In 1989, Belo Inox was taken over by the current owners, Manuel Castro and Julieta Castro. Manuel Castro already had extensive experience in the cutlery industry, having been a partner in an old factory in the sector for several years.

Manuel and Julieta Castro bought a plot of land in the industrial area of Gandra, where they designed a large, spacious structure from scratch, equipped with advanced technology and a qualified team.

Inauguration of the new head office and manufacturing facility at an event attended by customers, suppliers and family members.

In 2004, investment was made in projecting the brand through marketing strategies, associating itself with Euro 2004, regularly publishing editorials in leading magazines and taking part in television programs such as MasterChef.

Raquel Castro, daughter of Manuel and Julieta Castro, joins the company team.

The company's logo is redesigned and the brand image is revamped, including a complete overhaul of the packaging line.

Launch of a cutlery set in partnership with Portuguese designer Fátima Lopes. This important collaboration united Fátima Lopes' innovative and sophisticated design with the brand's experience and quality in producing excellence. This was the company's first all-silver cutlery.

Since the creation of the PME Líder award, Belo Inox has been distinguished annually as a PME Líder by IAPMEI, recognizing its financial strength, good management and high performance. In addition, it was awarded the title of PME Excellence in 2009, 2011, 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023, highlighting its innovation, competitiveness and value creation.

Again in partnership with Portuguese designer Fátima Lopes, the Vértice cutlery line is launched. This collaboration once again combines the brand's experience in high-quality cutlery with Fátima Lopes' modern and sophisticated design.

A partnership is established with the University of Minho in the Zirconic research project called Cutinov. The project focuses on developing innovative solutions for cutlery, using advanced materials such as zirconias to create high quality and durable pieces.

Belo Inox, recognized for its capacity for innovation and excellence, joins several companies in the On-Surf project. This project aims to create innovative and sustainable solutions for the industry, with a particular focus on technologies applied to the surfing sector and the development of products that promote environmental sustainability.

A partnership is set up with the University of Minho to host students from the Product Design course at the company's premises. The aim of this collaboration is to provide students with practical experience, allowing them to develop innovative projects and apply the knowledge acquired in a real production environment.
